The B.C. Maple morph of Oniscus asellus is one of the most colourful and sought after morph of Oniscus asellus by isopod ethusiasts, they can reach an impressive size of 20mm as an adult and are active by day. Breeding is also fairly easy and development speed is moderate.
Oniscus Asellus isopods makes a great clean up crew member for your bioactive vivarium, as well as pets! Native to British Columbia Canada, these isopods do well in cool and damp enclosures but can tolerate some degrees of aridness. These isopods for sale are very prolific and have large broods every 60 days or so once established! Adult Oniscus Asellus isopods can reach 27mm in length and are a great beginner species.

Humidity: 60-70% (it's a good idea to provide a "hydration station" on one side of the enclosure by adding in a patch of sphagnum moss and misting it once in a while)
Feeding: leaf litter, fish flakes, dog pellets, carrots, etc.
Providing a source of calcium in cuttlebones or crushed eggshells can be beneficial
