Crematogaster Cerasi is one of the liveliest and most colourful Acrobat Ant species found in Canada. Also known as The Cherry Acrobat Ant, they are found in most regions of southern Canada and commonly dwell in fallen logs or live trees just like Camponotus. The ants have a cute heart-shaped gaster and colouts are best seen under the sun.
At Insect Supplies Canada, we sell live Acrobat Ant queens, small colonies and even some large colonies of The Cherry Acrobat Ant. They are one of the easiest ants to keep and are considered a great beginner species for all antkeepers.
Queens are normally around 10-12mm while workers range from 4-6mm
The colonies of Acrobat ants can grow very large, they are very active and will live in almost anything they can find and develop until they are a force and can start reproducing more alates!
Overall, Crematogaster Cerasi is a very satisfying ant to raise from a single queen into a large colony, the brood develops at a steady pace so it wouldn't be long until you would have a beautiful young colony of these gorgeous Acrobat Ants!
