The "Honeycomb" Acrylic Nest

"Honeycomb" - large is a great nest for almost every species of ground-dwelling ants. It comes with 12 chambers, which have detachable lids for easy cleanup or brood stealing.

This is a very large nest!

The entire nest measures 25cm x 20cm x 10cm (L x W x H)

The outworld measures: 20cm x 12cm x 10cm (L x W x H)

The nest body measures 20cm x 13cm x 2cm (L x W x H)

The chambers have a thickness of 1.8cm, tall enough to accommodate every species of ant in Canada! 

The water reservoir is on the bottom left-hand corner of the nest, it can be watered using a syringe or using a detachable test tube filled with water. (Fig. 1) The chambers directly above the water reservoir feature tiny laser-cut gaps that allow water to pass through and humidity to rise. (Fig. 2) This allows you to control the humidity everywhere in the nest.

By far the most unique thing about this nest is that you can easily open up the chambers from above the ants, all 12 chambers have this and those detachable covers that have easy handles for removal, just make sure to not flip it upside down! (Fig. 3)

This nest comes with 2 lids, the big one being removed for larger maintenance or transfers, while the smaller lid, featuring woven steel mesh is more for a daily check-up. (Fig. 4) "Honeycomb" also features small laser cut micro gaps to allow for ideal ventilation on both the sides and the top of the large outworld, along with two 10mm diameter extension holes where vinyl tubing can be attached. (Fig. 5) The Honeycomb can be assembled and disassembled with ease for better cleanups or other changes.
