Manica Hunteri is one of the liveliest and most colourful hunter ant species found in Canada, closely related to Myrmica species like Myrmica Incompleta. Also known as The Hunter Ant, they are found in regions of south western Canada. The colours are most visible under the sun or bright light, the workers are extremely eye-catching too.
Manica Hunteri is known to be the largest species of Manica found in Canada, the queens exhibit a nice bright orange colouration with a little splash of red on her thorax. Workers exhibit the same colouration and workers can have different class sizes like majors and minors.
