Stenamma Diecki is one of the liveliest and most colourful Stenamma Ant species found in Canada. They are found in most regions of southern Canada and commonly dwell in fallen logs or live trees just like Camponotus.
At Insect Supplies Canada, we sell live Stenamma Ant queens, small colonies and even some large colonies of Stenamma Diecki. They are one of the easiest ants to keep and are considered a great beginner/intermidiate species for all antkeepers.
Queens are normally around 3-4mm while workers range from 2-3mm
The colonies of Stenamma ants can grow very large, they are very active and will live in almost anything they can find and develop until they are a force and can start reproducing more alates!
